For decades in the rural and isolated areas of Tumba, children did not have access to education. The closest schools were simply too far away. The region is extremely poor and families live off of subsistence agriculture. To meet the need for basic education in Tumba, the Brothers have founded a school that offers both primary and secondary education. Additionally, the Brothers provide housing for both the teachers and some of the families. Thanks to a fair and proper distribution of scholarships, young girls, who are often excluded from secondary education, have the opportunity to pursue their studies.
